Passenger & Freight Charters

We provide convenient, safe and reliable air charters for a broad spectrum of clientele, which include Financial Institutions; PNG Government; the Mining and Resource sector; Security firms; Tourism operators and Medical Evacuation companies along with the general public looking to head home to visit the family.

Two of the three B200s have cargo doors, allowing for easy transfer of cargo or, in the case of medivac flights, stretcher cases.

All of the Caravan C208Bs have cargo doors and cargo pods.

Aerial Survey

The Cessna Grand Caravan is an excellent aircraft for survey with an overhead wing, forward mounted engine and large viewing windows. With full fuel the Caravan is capable of flights of over 6 hours endurance whilst still being able to carry 6 passengers. All aircraft are fitted with dual Gamin 430 GNSS instrumentation.

VIP Charters

The B200 King Air and the C90 King Air are ideal VIP charter aircraft with comfortable executive seating and fold out desks on the C90. These aircraft are well appointed and extremely capable. Additionally the VIP seating can be removed and exchanged for commuter seating.

Catering can be arranged at your request along with airport transfers in Port Moresby.

With the expansion of our fleet in recent times, Tropicair Management saw the need to maintain their own aircraft, in their own Maintenance Facility, within PNG.  Eighteen months ago Tropicair was granted their Maintenance Operator’s Certificate (MOC Part145) by CASA PNG. More recently, the license was extended to include third party aircraft maintenance checks for other small General Aviation Companies operating in PNG.

Aero-medical Evacuation

Owned and operated by Tropicair Limited, this service commenced formal operations under the Medicair brand in April, 2014.

Although Tropicair has been operating an air ambulance service for many years the CEO Tony Honey, decided to expand from an air ambulance provider to an aero-medical provider offering a complete medical/air ambulance service. This service is intended not only for the corporate sector, but to many of the local communities throughout Papua New Guinea who wouldn’t normally have access to this type of service.
